Communication has always been a key principle of cooperative businesses. Members own the cooperative business and they need to understand the issues, problems and opportunities faced by their co-op.

Today, as the nation faces future energy supply issues and looks towards renewable and alternative power sources, it's more important than ever that co-op members stay informed of how these changes to the energy landscape may affect their cooperative.

To assist co-ops, the AIEC Communications Department provides graphics, editorial, photography, printing, newsletter, news release, outage communication, marketing, video, and Internet communications services. The department is also responsible for the Touchstone Energy brand program in Illinois and Illinois Country Living magazine, the largest circulation monthly publication in downstate Illinois.
